MTA vpt

Preserving pulp vitality in daily practice

Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) stands for biocompatibility and long-term clinical success in preserving the vitality of the pulp. With MTA vpt, VOCO offers a reliable material that is specially designed for the needs of daily restorative therapy and makes first-class pulp protection affordable.

According to its indications, MTA vpt can be used in cases of deep carious lesions or traumatic pulp exposure. It also supports the objectives of selective or stepwise caries excavation and the Vital Pulp Therapy (VPT) based on it. It can be applied as a lining material, for indirect and direct pulp capping as well as for the treatment of the pulp following vital amputation (partial or complete pulpotomy). Residual carious dentine that remains after selective or stepwise caries removal can be reliably sealed. Free of discolouring substances, MTA vpt is also recommended for use on anterior teeth.

MTA vpt releases calcium and hydroxide ions, which stimulates the body's own regenerative processes and the formation of reparative dentine. The resulting high pH value is known to have a bacteriostatic effect and supports remineralisation. The main component of the product is tricalcium silicate. MTA vpt is free from bismuth oxide and ferrous compounds. The material's low solubility and particularly high compressive strength support durable restorations.

MTA vpt can be processed immediately by covering with a flowable composite or GI cement without exerting pressure. MTA vpt is hydrophilic and is applied directly to the cavity floor without conditioning agent, or used to cover the pulp tissue.

MTA vpt comes in an attractively priced hand-mixed version (10 g powder + 10 ml liquid) and as a capsule for practical direct application. The dimensions of the capsule match those of the classic glass ionomer cements and can be mixed with the VOCO GIC Mixer II, for example.

Polofil® NHT

Light-curing nano-hybrid restorative material

Polofil NHT is a nano-hybrid composite that convinces with its universal applicability, simple handling and excellent material properties. These include a high filler content (> 83 % by weight) and low polymerisation shrinkage (< 1.8 % by volume), high compressive strength (> 440 MPa) and flexural strength (> 157 MPa), an E-modulus similar to that of dentine (> 17.000 MPa), high radiopacity (250 Al%), as well as a low level of water solubility (< 1 µg/mm³). These physical parameters mean that this composite based on the nano-hybrid technology (NHT) provides for lastingly stable restorations in the posterior and anterior areas. The range of available shades comprises A1, A2, A3, A3.5 and B2 and ensures that restorations are highly fade-resistant and naturally aesthetic. Polofil NHT has a smooth consistency that makes handling extremely convenient and thus processing swift, which means that this composite, also with regard to cost effectiveness, represents a viable alternative to conventional restorative materials.

In addition to the packable composite Polofil NHT VOCO also presents a flowable option: Polofil NHT Flow. Polofil NHT Flow, due to the flow-on-demand properties that it possesses thanks to its precisely adjusted thixotropy, becomes flowable enough to be modelled only under pressure and when in motion. After completion of the modelling process the material is so firm that it does not flow from the cavity.

VOCO Retraction Paste

The cord from the capsule

Astringent paste for an effective temporary widening and dry gingival sulcus

Perfect impressions, moisture control and gentle soft tissue management are essential for exact crown margins, perfect marginal adaption, long-lasting and aesthetic restorations.

Indispensable in the practice!

The VOCO Retraction Paste is your indispensable helper for the effective temporary widening and dry gingival sulcus. This creates the condition for successful conventional or digital impressions.

VOCO Retraction Paste can be easily and hygienically applied into the sulcus directly from the SingleDose Cap, an innovation from the VOCO engineers, and is sufficient for up to 3 sulci. Thanks to a soft and flexible plastic cap, the application occures more tissue-conserving and thus more comfortable for the patients in comparison to an application with metal cannulas or placing retraction cords. The viscosity of the paste has been developed according to the clinical treatment requirement. Depending on how much pressure is applied to the paste, it has different viscosity levels, the socalled Viscosity Change. The paste can be easily expressed, flows properly and can be applied precisely with low pressure. The paste is stable in the sulcus – this leads to an effective temporary widening.

The astringent reacting, aluminium chloride containing paste stops any bleeding and displaces moisture. After a short application time of 1 - 2 minutes, the high-contrast VOCO Retraction Paste can be sprayed off easily. The paste can be used as an alternative or in combination with e. g. retraction cords. It is up to you whether you take a classic impression with impression material or a digital Impression with an intraoral scanner.

Structur 2 SC

Excellent temporaries with Structur 2 SC

Structur 2 SC is a self-curing composite material for the fabrication of provisional crowns and bridges, inlays and onlays with natural fluorescence. It is characterised by its ingenious material composition. A special filler combination provides high stability. Specially developed resins guarantee the best possible curing depth and high translucency for natural aesthetics. Structur 2 SC is available in several aesthetic tooth shades. It can be removed from the oral cavity after only 1.5 minutes from commencement of mixing, and after a mere further 2.5 minutes they reach a sufficient level of hardness for finishing and polishing.

With its excellent product characteristics, Structur 2 SC permits a comfortable application and efficient finishing with simple grinding and subsequent polishing to a tooth-like shine. The proven 1:1 cartridge facilitates precise work with the especially small mixing tips and it provides an economical application and frugal use of the material.

Meron

Glass ionomer cements have long been used for indications in the areas of filling and luting. Their application is quick and straightforward, and the result is excellent in every way for both patient and dentist. For example, there are no known cases of postoperative sensitivities occurring after application of Meron luting cement. Meron in its long-trusted powder / liquid combination is used for luting millions of times every year.

The trusted luting cement Meron offers a number of benefits which are of particular importance in daily working practice. When being applied the material flows and provides optimal wetting of the restorations inner surfaces, but during transfer to the oral cavity it is firm and stable. This simplifies working processes, particularly in mandibular areas. A film thickness of just 16 μm means that the fit of the restoration remains precise. Removal of excess material is simple. It is easy to lift off with a probe, etc., during the setting phase. Moreover, Meron is radiopaque and has a high level of translucency, which aids the natural appearance of all-ceramic restorations.

Advantages

• Sizeable amount available per capsule

– also suitable for large restorations

• Excellent wetting properties

• Stable

• Low film thickness

• High level of translucency for aesthetic results

• Simple removal of excess material

• Continuous release of fluoride

• No know postoperative sensitivities
